Buenas tardes colegas hace unos dias me llego un S5 con bloqueo rent-a-center saben como quitar
el bloqueo?? ya intente con Z3X y Octoplus reseteando EE/FRP, haciendo downgrade a la version stock
que es cuando aun no tiene la seguridad KNOX, e cargado el QCN y CERT al igual que rootear e instalar
custom recovery y nada, alguien sabe como eliminar el bloqueo ya que no permite Octopus y z3x

Eso solo lo hacen con servicio remoto entre 30 y 50 dolares cobran ejemplo imei gurus

Encontré este método en youtube pero es arriesgado si el cliente no tiene problemas en dañar el teléfono

This does not unlock your network carrier.
PLEASE READ ALL THE STEPS FIRST and ASK QUESTIONS IF YOU ARE NOT CLEAR.
Download Odin3_v3.09
Download TWRP or any other custom recovery of your choice.
Run Odin and flash TWRP or any other custom recovery of your choice to your phone.
This will set KNOX security flag to 1, meaning no more warranty for the phone if you send it to
Boot into custom recovery ( with phone off, press and hold Volume Up and Home keys
while turning on the phone ) and Wipe -> Advanced wipe -> Wipe System, Dalvik, Cache and Data.
This will erase everything on the phone. No need to do ROM back up las we have Stock ROM available for this
model to go back if needed. Your choice.
Go to Advanced -> Terminal Command -> hit "Select"
Type in these 2 commands:
mke2fs /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/persdata
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/persdata
Go back to the Home screen of the custom recovery. Wipe -> Factory reset.
Reboot
You can flash stock software back into the phone. Please be aware that if the
original software of the phone is 4.4 , you can flash any software newer than 4.4 . If it is 5.0 ,
you can only flash any software newer than 5.0
Rent a Center lock
Here the solution
1- install twrp recovery
2- boot into recovery: vol+ home and power at the same time
3- Go to Advanced -> Terminal Command -> hit "Select"
4- type these comands
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/sda11
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/sda13
5- do a factory reset with the recovery
